I've recently had the pleasure and honor to have seen Moulin Rouge! at the theatre. I was so excited because this is my favorite movie, and I was deprived of seeing it when it was first released. Later on I made a very smart purchase and I bought the film on DVD (it's in a rather beautiful case).
Well anyway, a theatre recently opened up near my house. It plays older films and I noticed it was going to be showing Moulin Rouge! Well, I knew that I just had to go (eventhough it started at 11.40), so I called up some friends, and we were off.
The experience was Spectacular, Spectacular of course. The atmosphere of the big screen and the dark room, and Nicole Kidman's first appearance on the swing was so very surreal. I loved that night, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity!
